Invitation to attend the 2nd Aquitaine Conference on Polymers

The Aquitaine Region invites you to Arcachon to attend the second Aquitaine Conference on Polymers from the 13th to the 16th of October 2009.

Our Region places research and innovation among its upper priorities and views them as the two main engines of its economic and employment policy. Aquitaine now tops French regions with 10% of its budget spent in fundamental, applied science, technology transfer and innovation. The field of polymers in Aquitaine is not only renowned for its teaching quality and research achievements but also for the part it played in creating the centre for high technology that our Region has become. As a mark of its implication, we initiated in 2007 a new series of biennial conferences at the frontiers of polymer science for the exclusive benefit of the academic and industrial polymer community, in particular its young members.

This second Aquitaine Conference on Polymers will thus provide an international forum for the presentation and discussion of new concepts and new avenues of research in polymer science. Its moderate size -around 150 participants- is designed to give an opportunity for young researchers to establish personal contacts with renowned world leaders. Among other topics the conference will address and focus on precision polymer synthesis and catalysis, polymers and energy, polymers for life science applications, supramolecular chemistry and challenges in formulation and processing of polymers.
